VA family caregiver (PCAFC) application checklist
The Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC) supports family caregivers of eligible veterans. Applying means completing VA Form 10-10CG jointly with the veteran, then taking part in a VA clinical assessment before a designation decision is made. This checklist walks through the steps in the order they happen.
Based on VA's published guidance and 38 CFR Part 71. FeatherKeep does not decide eligibility, complete forms, or represent you with VA — confirm details at caregiver.va.gov or with your local VA Caregiver Support Program team.

Keeping a record for the assessment
The clinical assessment asks about the personal care you provide day to day. An organized record of what you actually do is easier to speak from than memory.
What you get with a free account
- Your own medication, expense, and appointment records saved and organized — not demo data
- A dated log of the daily help you provide, ready for the VA assessment conversation
