Our story

FeatherKeep exists because of a moment in a hospital corridor.

"My mom had just suffered a stroke. I was standing there trying to absorb the diagnosis, the discharge instructions, the list of medications, the follow-up appointments — all of it at once, while a nurse waited for me to confirm I understood. I didn't. Not really. There was too much, and nowhere to put it.
I was working full-time and raising my own kids, and now I was also trying to care for my mom. I spent hours after that searching government websites, filling out paperwork, and worrying I was missing financial support I didn't even know existed. Nobody tells you what to do. You just have to figure it out, alone, exhausted, while also trying to hold everything else together.
When I started researching caregivers, I was shocked by how many families struggle in silence. They're balancing work, children, and aging parents while trying to understand complicated healthcare systems and government programs. I realized technology could remove some of that burden. That's why I created FeatherKeep — to become a trusted companion throughout the caregiving journey."

FeatherKeep was built from that experience — but it was designed for every caregiving situation. Whether you are managing everything alone, coordinating with siblings across three time zones, or trying to get your family to finally understand what you are carrying — FeatherKeep works for all of it. Our goal is simple: to make the caregiving journey less stressful, so there's more room left for what actually matters — the person you're caring for, and you.

Our mission

Simplifying one of life's most overwhelming responsibilities.

FeatherKeep exists to simplify one of life's most overwhelming responsibilities — family caregiving. We combine trusted educational content, practical organization tools, and country-specific guidance to help caregivers stay organized, prepare applications, coordinate care, and confidently navigate complex caregiving decisions.

Rather than making promises about benefits or eligibility, we help families understand what to check, what to prepare, and how to stay organized throughout their caregiving journey. Our goal is to reduce stress, improve confidence, and help caregivers spend less time managing paperwork and more time caring for the people they love.

How we compare

Most caregiving apps handle calendars, messages and reminders well. Caregiving is also money, government paperwork, and proof of what's being done — and that's where we go further.

How we build our guidance

Sourced from official rules, written for real families.

Every guide on FeatherKeep is written to reflect the actual rules of the government programs it describes — sourced from official government publications, agency websites, and publicly available program documentation. Because eligibility rules, payment rates, and program names change over time (and vary significantly by country, state, province, or region), we date our guides, note when figures should be independently confirmed, and link directly to the official source for every program we cover.

We do not offer legal, tax, financial, or medical advice, and we're upfront about that throughout our content. What we do offer is organization: a clear starting point so you know what questions to ask and what to prepare before speaking with a qualified professional or the relevant government authority.
