Trust & security

Your family's information is yours. Here's exactly how we protect it.

Caregiving means trusting a system with some of the most sensitive information a family has — medications, medical history, government benefit details, even Social Insurance or Social Security numbers for care workers you pay. We don't think that trust should be assumed. Here's exactly how FeatherKeep protects it, in plain language, not legal boilerplate.

How your data is separated

Every household on FeatherKeep is isolated at the database level — not just in the app you see, but in the underlying system itself. A caregiver in one household cannot see, query, or access another household's data. This is enforced by Row Level Security, a database-level protection that checks who's asking before any data is returned — not just a rule in our app code that could be bypassed.

What we can and can't see

We can see what's needed to run the product you're using — your logged expenses, medications, and documents, scoped to your household. We cannot see, and do not store in readable form, sensitive identifiers like a care worker's Social Insurance Number once entered — these fields are write-only in our system, meaning even we can't read them back out.

What we've done recently

We completed a full security audit across every table in our system — 71 tables, 149 access policies reviewed — and fixed issues found during that audit, including hardening who can update sensitive account fields like subscription status and trial dates.

Where we're still growing — honestly

We believe in being straightforward about where we are, not just where we want to be. SOC 2 compliance: in progress.

Your data, your control

You can export your data at any time. You can delete your account and associated data. We do not sell your data.

"You have been carrying this alone. Let FeatherKeep carry some of it with you."
