Care workers currently available in Surrey/South Surrey, White Rock, Victoria, Nanaimo and Comox. We also accept requests in Langley and other Vancouver Island communities. All care is subject to assessment and a suitable local worker match.

Who it’s for
Companionship suits people who are managing at home but spend a lot of time alone, or whose family wants a regular, friendly check-in. Families often ask when:
- A parent lives alone and has become quieter or more isolated
- Family can’t visit as often as they’d like
- Someone has stopped going out and would enjoy company on a short walk
- Someone living with early memory changes does better with a familiar person and routine
Time together that feels natural
Elderly Companion Care & Conversation
Someone to talk with, share stories and spend time with.
Cognitive Activities & Senior Hobbies
Cards, puzzles, music and reading based on the person’s interests. These are social activities, not clinical cognitive therapy.
Safe Mobility & Guided Local Walks
Short local walks and appropriate mobility assistance only where assessed and included in the agreed plan.
A light meal together
Preparing a simple snack or meal and sitting down together.
Consistent Companion Care Scheduling
We aim for familiar routines and continuity, with the worker and schedule confirmed subject to availability.
Companionship built around the person
We ask about interests, routines and what makes a good visit, and match a companion with that in mind.
Companionship visits are $129 for 2 hours, $177 for 3 hours and $236 for 4 hours, then $59 per hour from 5 hours, with a 2-hour minimum.
Pricing is based on the care arrangement — the level of support, caregiver qualifications, visit length and schedule — not on individual tasks. You’ll see the exact price in your proposed arrangement before you approve anything.
How it works
- 01
Connect with a care coordinator
Call or request a callback to discuss your location, timing and support needs. We aim to call you back within 15 minutes. Response times depend on team availability.
- 02
Instant Matching: Check Local Availability
We begin checking suitable local workers as soon as your needs are reviewed. Your worker and dates are confirmed after assessment and availability checks. We explain proposed visit duration, schedule and pricing.
- 03
Tailor and agree your care plan
Assessment shapes the proposed care plan and arrangement for your approval. After a conversation, you can share details and preferences securely online where appropriate. We confirm your agreed support, schedule and price before care begins.
- 04
Begin agreed support
Where assessment, your approval and a suitable worker are in place, we aim to arrange support within 24 hours. This is a target, not guaranteed availability. We confirm the agreed schedule and communication arrangements before support begins.
Frequently asked questions
What happens during a companionship visit?
Visits follow what the person enjoys — conversation, cards or puzzles, music, a short walk where it’s safe, or a light meal together. The Care Plan records their interests and routines.
How much does companion care cost?
Companionship visits are $129 for 2 hours, $177 for 3 hours and $236 for 4 hours, then $59 per hour for 5 hours or more.
Can a companion go with my parent to appointments?
Appointment accompaniment can be arranged in some areas, subject to assessment and worker availability. Transportation is not included.
Will it be the same companion each time?
We aim for continuity and try to keep the same companion for regular visits, but this depends on worker availability. You’ll be told if the companion needs to change.
What companionship covers
Companionship is non-clinical, social and practical support at home. If hands-on personal care is needed, we add Personal Care to the same Care Plan.
Companionship does not include nursing, medication administration, clinical care or client transportation.
