Who it’s for

Home support suits people who can manage much of their day but would benefit from regular practical help. Families often ask when:

  • Cooking, laundry or housework has become tiring or unsafe to keep up with
  • Someone lives alone and the home is starting to slip
  • A family member has been doing the chores and can’t keep it up
  • Someone is home after a hospital stay and needs extra help for a while

Help with everyday life at home

Meals prepared the way you like them

Preparing agreed meals around the person’s choices and tidying the kitchen. No nutrition therapy or dietetic advice.

Fresh laundry and comfortable routines

Washing, folding and changing bed linens.

A more manageable home

Light, agreed household tasks such as tidying main living areas and keeping everyday spaces easier to use.

Grocery Errands & Household Organization

Agreed grocery lists, shopping support where available, putting things away and organizing household tasks. Worker driving and client transportation are not included as universal services.

Company while we help

A friendly presence and conversation alongside the practical help.

Already receiving public home support?

Private support can complement the home support you already receive through Fraser Health or Island Health. FeatherKeep is an independent private provider.

Home Support visits are $129 for 2 hours, $177 for 3 hours and $236 for 4 hours, then $59 per hour from 5 hours, with a 2-hour minimum.

Pricing is based on the care arrangement — the level of support, caregiver qualifications, visit length and schedule — not on individual tasks. You’ll see the exact price in your proposed arrangement before you approve anything.

How it works

  1. 01

    Connect with a care coordinator

Call or request a callback to discuss your location, timing and support needs. We aim to call you back within 15 minutes. Response times depend on team availability.

  2. 02

    Instant Matching: Check Local Availability

We begin checking suitable local workers as soon as your needs are reviewed. Your worker and dates are confirmed after assessment and availability checks. We explain proposed visit duration, schedule and pricing.

  3. 03

Tailor and agree your care plan

Assessment shapes the proposed care plan and arrangement for your approval. After a conversation, you can share details and preferences securely online where appropriate. We confirm your agreed support, schedule and price before care begins.

  4. 04

    Begin agreed support

Where assessment, your approval and a suitable worker are in place, we aim to arrange support within 24 hours. This is a target, not guaranteed availability. We confirm the agreed schedule and communication arrangements before support begins.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between home support and home care?

At FeatherKeep, home support means everyday help such as meals, laundry, light housekeeping and errands. Home care is our broader term for all of our non-clinical services, including personal care. When both are needed, they go in one Care Plan.

How much does home support cost?

Home Support visits are $129 for 2 hours, $177 for 3 hours and $236 for 4 hours, then $59 per hour for 5 hours or more. You see the exact price in your proposed Care Plan before approving anything.

Can private home support be used alongside publicly funded home support?

Yes. Families may choose private home support alongside publicly funded services when additional individualized support is needed. FeatherKeep is an independent private provider and does not replace publicly funded care.

How does home support begin?

Call or request a callback to discuss your location and needs. We review availability, assess the support and explain the proposed care plan, schedule and price. Your care needs, schedule, price and suitable local worker are confirmed before support begins. Sharing more details online is optional.

What home support covers

Home support is non-medical help with everyday household tasks. When personal routines like bathing or dressing are also needed, we add Personal Care to the same Care Plan.

Home support does not include nursing, medication administration, clinical care or client transportation.
