Are personal routines becoming difficult?
Respectful help with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility can be considered after assessment of the person’s needs.
Does a family caregiver need a break?

Home care across Surrey and South Surrey
FeatherKeep is based in Surrey, British Columbia. We also welcome enquiries from Whalley, Morgan Creek and Ocean Park.
Surrey is a large, fast-growing city, and families here are often spread across it — or across the Lower Mainland. Many people we hear from are adult children balancing work and their own households while trying to keep a parent supported at home.
Many families combine services — for example companionship and meal help on weekdays, with personal care on bath days. One Care Plan can cover several services.

Talk with a care coordinator
Call or request a callback to discuss your location, timing and the support that would help.

- 04
Begin agreed support
Once the plan and arrangement are ready, we arrange a suitable worker and confirm how communication and agreed updates will work.
Home care in Surrey: common questions
What areas of Surrey do you accept requests from?
We accept care requests from families in Surrey and South Surrey, British Columbia. White Rock has its own page, because it is a separate city.
What is the difference between home care and home support?
People use the words differently. At FeatherKeep, home support covers everyday help such as meals, laundry, light housekeeping and companionship. Home care is the broader term we use for all of our non-clinical services, including personal care such as bathing and dressing. None of our services include nursing or other clinical care.
How much does private home care cost in Surrey?
Home Support, Companionship and Everyday Help visits are $129 for 2 hours, $177 for 3 hours, $236 for 4 hours, and $59 per hour for 5 hours or more. Personal Care is $65 per hour and Specialized Home Care is $69 per hour, each with a 2-hour minimum. Respite and Dementia & Memory Support are priced on the assessed level of care, and longer or overnight support is assessed and quoted individually. You see the exact price in your proposed Care Plan before you approve anything.
Can private support be used alongside Fraser Health home support?
Yes. Families may choose private home support alongside publicly funded services when additional individualized support is needed around everyday routines.
How does home support begin?
Call a care coordinator or request a callback to discuss your location, timing and support needs. We review suitable local worker availability and explain the proposed visit duration, schedule and price. Care requires assessment and approval of the care plan and arrangement before a suitable worker begins agreed support.
How are care workers matched?
Workers are matched to the needs in the Care Plan — the support required, the qualifications needed, the schedule and the person’s preferences. Only workers who meet the requirements for that support can be assigned.
Care workers are currently available in Surrey/South Surrey. Requests in surrounding communities are reviewed after assessment for a suitable local worker match.
Medical care remains with the person’s healthcare team. Support excludes nursing and other clinical care, medication administration, newborn care, transportation and live-in care; 24-hour care is not guaranteed.
FeatherKeep is an independent private-pay provider, not affiliated with, endorsed by or contracted by Fraser Health. Public eligibility and funding remain with the health authority; private care and schedules are arranged separately.
