In-Home Personal Care & Daily Living Assistance in Langley, BC
Needing help with a shower or getting dressed doesn’t mean someone has to give up their home or the way they like to start the day. It usually means a few specific tasks have become tiring, slow or risky to manage alone.
Personal care fills exactly those gaps — with privacy and patience — while the person keeps doing everything they can and want to do themselves.

Families and individuals usually notice small changes first:
- Showers are being skipped because getting in and out of the tub feels unsteady
- Buttons, socks or getting dressed now take a very long time
- Getting up from a chair or the bed has become a struggle
- A spouse is doing more lifting and helping than is comfortable for either of them
- Grooming and appearance matter to them, but have become hard to keep up
- Meals are going half-eaten because eating has become effortful

Why personal care starts with an assessment
The Care Assessment looks at current abilities, daily routines, personal preferences, the layout of the home and any guidance already given by healthcare providers. It also sets out the type and amount of help needed, so the Individualized Care Plan is specific rather than general.
Personal care is only assigned to workers eligible for it. We consider the person's support needs, worker eligibility, availability, preferences and relevant fit when coordinating care. As abilities change, we review the plan with you.

FeatherKeep personal care is non-clinical. It does not include nursing, wound care, medication administration, clinical monitoring or medical treatment.
Clinical needs stay with the person’s healthcare providers. Care workers follow existing guidance where it relates to the personal care being provided.

We accept care requests from families in this area. Service availability is confirmed after assessment and depends on the support required and available care workers in your community.
Homes across Langley vary — from townhouses in Willoughby to older family homes in Murrayville and acreages further out. The assessment considers the specific home, including bathroom layout and access, before any plan is proposed.
Private support can complement the home support you already receive through Fraser Health. FeatherKeep is an independent private provider.
